The core of a nickel-cadmium battery is nickel as the positive electrode and cadmium as the negative electrode. The advantages of nickel-cadmium batteries: cheap, strong, and the charge retention ability is better than hydrogen, but worse than lithium; but cadmium has small capacity, memory effect, and pollution to the environment

Taking the EB-KNB14A battery as an example, the following is a brief description of the use of nickel-cadmium batteries

1. Battery performance: (battery charge and discharge voltage, current, time and ambient temperature)

1. Battery model: EB-KNB14A

2. Battery specification: NI-CD AA1100

3. Nominal voltage: 7.2V

4. Nominal capacity: 1100mAh

5. Charging current:

              Standard charging method 0.2 C (7 hours charging with 220mA constant current)

              Fast charging method 1.0C (1100mA constant current charging for 1.2 hours)

6. Discharge current: 0.2C discharge (2200mA current discharge to end voltage 6.0V)

7. Discharge termination voltage: 6.0V

8. Charge and discharge control: the highest charging voltage is 9.6V, and the discharge termination voltage is 6.0V

9. Ambient temperature for charging and discharging:

Charging: Charging should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20±5°C, otherwise the rated power may not be charged;

The standard charging method can be adapted to be carried out at 0~50℃. Fast charging method can adapt to 10 ~ 50 ℃

Discharge: Discharge characteristics when the temperature is 20℃, discharge to 6V with 220mA current, discharge capacity ≥1100MAH

Discharge can be performed at an ambient temperature of -18~55℃

2. Precautions for the environment and time of battery shelving and storage:

1. The battery should be stored in a cool and dry environment with an ambient temperature of -20 to 35 °C;

2. Before the first use of the battery, a full charge-discharge pre-cycle is required to activate the battery;

3. The shelved or stored battery should be activated by a full charge-discharge cycle for at least three months

4. The battery should be put on hold in an open state, and the battery should be removed from the machine when it is not in use to prevent damage caused by the battery being in an overdischarged state for a long time.

3. Battery configuration and charging instructions

1. When the battery is loaded into the machine or removed from the machine, please turn it off.

2. Please use NI-CD (nickel-cadmium) or NI-MH (nickel-metal hydride) special matching chargers. Unsuitable chargers may not be able to charge or not fully charged and will damage the battery.

4. When charging, it should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20±5℃, otherwise it may not be fully charged with the rated power

5. A fully charged battery should be removed from the charger to avoid overcharging, shorten battery life and reduce performance.

6. The best way to use nickel-cadmium batteries is to fully charge them and discharge them when they are discharged. Avoid charging and using them, and use them to charge them, so that the battery may have a memory effect.

7. The battery cannot be charged and discharged normally when the memory effect occurs. At this time, the battery needs to be maintained and repaired by standard charging and discharging methods.

Fourth, safety warning:

Do not store batteries in damp, high temperature places.

Do not dispose of batteries in fire to avoid explosion.

Never short the battery terminals or reverse charge the battery.

Never disassemble the battery case.

Do not install batteries in hazardous environments.

Users should never touch the battery when their hands are wet.

Never use solvents such as benzene or banana water to clean the battery.

When the battery has noise, abnormal temperature, or leaks, please stop using it

Do not squeeze or hit the battery, otherwise the battery will heat up or catch fire

Five, battery quality assurance

1. The incoming materials of the battery cells are provided by the qualified suppliers who are evaluated

2. Before the battery is assembled into a finished product, it is all distributed and matched, so that the voltage, capacity and internal resistance of each cell of the battery pack are consistent, and the overall performance of the battery can be better played.

3. The production of batteries is controlled by spot welding inspection, assembly inspection, finished product inspection and shipment inspection during the process to avoid the outflow of defective products.

4. The company provides customers with a 12-month effective use commitment. If it is a non-human fault, it can be repaired or replaced in time.

5. The effective service life of the battery complies with the standard of IEC60285 (1999) 7.4.4.1 ≥ 500 times; the method to quickly test the service life of the battery is 1000mA current charge-discharge cycle, our battery life guarantee ≥ 200 times (200 times the battery life The discharge capacity is more than 80% of the nominal capacity)
